IsMyUrlSafe is operated by Vaibhav Dhama ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@ismyurlsafe.com.

What the service is

IsMyUrlSafe lets you check a web link, the text of a message, or a QR code image and get a plain-language reading of whether it looks safe. It is a free, best-effort second opinion for people who are not security experts.

It is not a guarantee. A "safe" result can still be wrong — new scam and phishing sites appear before anyone has reported them — and a "suspicious" or "unsafe" result can occasionally flag something harmless. The checkers do not replace up-to-date security software, a password manager, two-step verification or your own judgement. You remain responsible for what you click, reply to, install or pay.

Acceptable use

When using IsMyUrlSafe, you agree not to:

• use it for anything unlawful, or to check links or content on someone else's behalf in a way that breaks the law;
• send automated or bulk requests, scrape the site, or try to build a competing service on top of it;
• attempt to overload, disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
• copy or republish the site's text, design or other content in bulk without permission.

Availability

The site is offered as it is and as available. We may change, pause or remove features, or stop offering the service, at any time and without notice. Occasionally a check cannot be completed; when that happens, do not treat a link or message as safe simply because it could not be checked.

Links to other sites

A result about a third-party address is not an endorsement of that site, its owner or its content. We have no control over sites you choose to visit after checking them.

No warranty

IsMyUrlSafe is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free. Verdicts are generated automatically from data that changes constantly and may be out of date or incorrect at any given moment.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of IsMyUrlSafe or from relying on a result — including a link that was marked "safe" but was not, or a legitimate link or message that was flagged. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Intellectual property

The name, design, text and other original content of IsMyUrlSafe belong to us. You may link to the site and quote short passages with attribution; you may not reproduce it wholesale or present it as your own.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The "last updated" date at the top of the page shows when they last did, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
